The Extra Innings Club

The concept behind this club is similar to the concept behind a kids book club.  A minimum amount of extra practice is done at home, the hours are validated by a parent, and at the end of the season the youth is awarded a gift certificate from a local sponsor.  The "practice" can be playing catch, batting, playing ball with friends, or any type of game involving catching, batting, or throwing a baseball.  The idea here is to make this a fun activity that not only improves a child's skills, but gets them doing more physical activity, and generates an enthusiasm for the game.  A sample form with rules is shown below with a link to a form you can print out. You can modify the requirements for your local youth team as you see fit.
